Today is 6/27/2016, about 2 weeks after Google Announced that we are going to roll out the New Extended Text Ads
This is the notification I received this morning in one of my client’s accounts! Yay that was fast!

To use the Expanded the Ads, you must go through the same way you always make ads. Click on “+ad” and then select “Text ad” option. Instead of seeing the traditional ad creation format, you now see the new Expanded Text Ad (Beta). There is also an option to switch back to to standard text ad.

There’s a highlighted note, saying expanded ads are still in beta, so the potential reach may fluctuate. We don’t break up with the standard ads yet.

While in beta, expanded text ads wont have the same potential reach as standard text ads and their performance stats may fluctuate. We recommend using a mix of standard text ads and expanded text ads in each of your ad groups during this time.
This is the Mobile Ad Copy. Note You can have TWO URL path now. Each has 15 characters.

This is the Desktop Copy. The core of the ads are only 3 lines now. Befitting the screen real-estate of a desktop or tablet computer.

I’ll be testing out the new formats and post results later here. So subscribe and check back!
